To most of us, the names Annapurna, Everest, or K2 evoke strong emotions. We have all seen reports or documentaries depicting the scaling of these famous mountains of the Himalayas.
It is quite another thing however, to imagine actually climbing them some day.
And that is precisely what Sophie Lavaud did. She is an accomplished Alpine and Himalayan mountaineer who we at Sept Finance now have the honour to sponsor and accompany in a special challenge she has taken up for 2021: to climb four peaks of more than 8’000 meters (of which she has already reached ten), and thus to join the only 43 men and women in the world who have succeeded in that endeavour.
We are very pleased to have the privilege to live this adventure with Sophie Lavaud, and we wish her that this year will bring her the excitement of accomplishing that great challenge with success.
